Timothy (Tim) Racosky doesn’t know the meaning of slow. As a dedicated teacher of more than 20 years in Montgomery County, MD, and father to two active kids, this go-getter family man doesn’t hold back. “My kids are involved in sports—you name it, we do it! We go to the gym, take walks and enjoy day trips,” said Tim. “My wife and I try to take the kids on two trips a year. We enjoy the beach, sand bicycles and lots of activity.”
Tim and his family started with an accident policy but then later added life and disability insurance policies from American Fidelity Assurance Company. It’s a good thing, because life has a way of throwing a curve ball when you least expect it.
Over a period of 7 years, Tim and his active family experienced some unexpected injuries that required treatment. Tim’s son broke his ankle and then his arm in two places playing baseball. Shortly after, his wife picked up their youngest child and injured her back—unable to walk for 5-6 weeks.
“The accident insurance helped with treatment costs and the disability insurance kicked in later when my wife couldn’t work,” said Tim. “That’s why we still have the house we do. We’re paycheck to paycheck. We would have been done. It helped us cover the basic bills until she went back to work as a teacher.”
“I’ve always been active. No matter what I do, something happens,” said Tim. “I tore my hip up coaching -- just heard something pop when going for a baseball. As soon as I was done with surgery, I was so excited to be healthy, I was running up the stairs and tripped over my son’s toy and tore my meniscus.”
“The claims process is easy! American Fidelity is so easy to deal with,” said Tim. “They actually seem like they want to help you get the most out of your policy. This is why I recommend American Fidelity to everyone.”
